Our Home - Asher Farm
We are a micro farm located in Central Alabama. Managing on just 5 acres we are always looking for the best way to manage it all. We have a small herd of Dairy Goats, Laying chickens, and some ducks and geese.
Join us on our journey as we plant raised beds, milk the goats, raise some chickens, smoke some meat, make soaps and all the rest we do around here on a daily basis!!
The Goats
We have a beautiful little herd of goats. We have a mix of Registered Nigerian Dwarf Goats, Registered Saanens and Registered Mini-Saanens. They each have their own personality. And we adore them all!! Goats make terrific pets. We had our first real kidding season this year with 3 does delivering 9 healthy beautiful babies!! What a blast we've had this summer watching them all grow and getting to know them as little unique individuals. We are excited about our 2019 kidding season because we're going to be breeding quite a few does. Babies will be offered for sale next year (of I might end up divorced!! LOL) Pictures coming soon!!! The Parrots
We keep a flock of about 40 or so birds. Most of these birds have been with me for 20 years or more. My first bird was a Blue and Gold Macaw, Tango. He will be 29 years old next month!! And he's been with me since he was 7 months old. I will continue to build on this as time allows!!
